We need a three neighbors with trucks who can pull a trailer that the Talmadge Patrol will rent. (The hitch size is a 2 inch ball- Call John 619 985 6363 in advance)

We could also use adult volunteers with SUVs to help move people from alley to alley.

We are also going to try (experiment) with a graffiti crew or two so if you love to paint (or hate graffiti more) let us know. (call John 619 985 6363 to sign up)

Let’s help clean up our Talmadge and Mid-City alleys! Clean alleys make safer alleys. Stay for as little or as long as you can.  We are expecting 80 to 100 students so we need adult volunteers to partner with our great student volunteers.  We hit all alleys from Talmadge to University Ave. This is a great way to build community and connect with our surrounding neighbors.

  • Pick-up of dumped items and garbage/litter pick up
  • Hauling dumped debris
  • Graffiti clean up

Volunteers meet at 8:15 am at Hoover High front parking lot before heading out to assigned alleys. Bring your marked (names/phone) gardening gloves, rakes, brooms, clippers, dustpans. The Patrol and our donors supplies garbage bags, gloves, water, snacks, wet wipes, and trucks/trailers.

Contact John Royal at Jroyal1@cox.net  with questions or to volunteer to drive a truck/trailer (619-985-6363). If you are interested in making a tax-deductible donation to help fund refreshments for the volunteers and students, please email the Patrol or send donations to “Talmadge Watch Patrol” PO Box 16152, San Diego CA 92176.
